When will workshops be held?
- Workshops will be held all day on Monday, October 20 and half day (ending at noon) on
Friday, October 24.
Are workshops an additional cost?
- Yes. A full day workshop costs $200.00 USD and a half day workshop costs $125.00 USD
When will tours be held? Is there an extra cost for tours?
- Tours will be held from Monday, October 20–Thursday, October 23. Conference registration comes with one plant tour.
Can I attend more then 1 tour?
- No, you can only pre-register for 1 plant tour as a paid attendee. To register for additional tours, you must ask to be put on the waiting list on-site at the tour desk.
When does the actual conference begin?
- The actual conference begins on Tuesday, October 21 at 7:00 a.m.
What is the cancellation policy?
- Through September 1, 2008, prepaid registration fees will be refunded (less $300.00 USD administrative charge). Substitutions may be made any time prior to the start of the conference.
Can I bring my companion/family?
- Yes, they are more than welcome and we hope you do! There will be a companion program for the week. The program will begin on Monday, October 20 through Thursday, October 23. Please check our website for updates on this program and how to register. We have a great week planned for them while you are attending sessions or tours.
Will there be any receptions or networking opportunities after the conference?
- Yes. There will be a “First Time Conference Attendee Orientation” on Monday, October 20, AME Kentucky 2009 reception on Wednesday, October 22, and various networking opportunities
during the week.
Can I just attend the workshops and not the entire conference?
- No, you have to register for the entire conference in order to attend the workshops.
Which airport should I fly into? How far away is the airport? Will there be transportation from the
airport to the hotel?
- Fly into the Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The airport is about a 30 minute drive to the Sheraton Centre hotel. Taxi’s and limos are readily available. ($40.00 - $50.00) There is a Toronto Airport Express bus. One way ticket is about $17.00 and round trip is $30.00 – every 30 minutes.
Does my conference registration also include hotel reservation?
- No, your conference registration does not come with hotel reservation. You need to make your own hotel reservation. Click here to book your room at the Sheraton Centre Hotel. Please do so early to make sure you will be staying at the conference hotel.
Will there be copies of presentations available after the conference?
- Keynote speakers presentations will not be available after the conference. We cannot release presentations without written releases from the keynote speakers. A disc is provided in your conference bag that is given to you at the conference containing copies of value stream presentations, and an attendee list.
Are breakfast and lunches included?
- Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the conference Monday -Friday.
Can we transfer passes?
- Yes, transferring passes is allowed on a daily basis only. A different attendee can attend for each of the days, as long as they are not at the conference at the same time. Attendees can have their badges printed up on-site at the registration desk.
Do I need a passport?
- Yes, you will need a passport to enter Canada.
Do I need to register for the presentations and is there an extra cost to attend them?
- You do not need to register for value stream presentations, special interest sessions or keynote presentations, they are included in your registration fee.
