Healthcare Visual Management

The PDCA of the management system

Workshop Code: FW-11

Day & Time: Friday, Oct 19, 2012 - 8:00 AM

Length: 4 hours

Cost: $200.00 USD

Visual management is very effective in factories, but not everyone knows how to use it in non-traditional environments. However, it works very well in many different settings. This workshop will show you how to imbed visual management into the daily activities of a continuous improvement culture in a healthcare environment. You will also participate in hands-on simulation that allows you to visualize the improvement efforts at a healthcare facility. If you aren't using visual management where you work, this workshop will get you thinking about doing so.

In this workshop:

  • Understand the benefits of a visual tracking center and a visual management system.
  • Link a visual tracking center to the need for management standard work.
  • Discuss the shift in leadership roles by using a visual management system within a continuous improvement culture.
  • Practice designing a visual tracking center and management system.
  • Consider specific benefits and challenges in implementing visual management within your organization.
