Workshop
Lean Tools for the Office - FULL
A lean office overview with simulation
Workshop Code: MW-02
Day & Time: Monday, Oct 15, 2012 - 8:00 AM
Length: 8 hours
Cost: $300.00 USD
The goal of an organization is to be a lean enterprise and to apply the common sense business practices embodied by lean thinking to all areas of your business. However, while there are many well-documented successes, service organizations and the administrative processes of manufacturing companies often struggled with applying these concepts.
This workshop can help. The workshop will provide an overview of lean concepts and their application to office and administrative processes. Attendees will then apply these concepts in a simulated office and measure the impact of their improvement efforts.
This simulation will allow attendees to experience an actual office kaizen event and develop ideas for improvement. Decisions will be quickly agreed upon, then the group will be broken into smaller groups to implement the ideas. Strict time expectations will be given for the implementation so that the experience closely resembles an actual office kaizen event. Experience this office kaizen in a workshop, then apply these concepts back at your business.
In this workshop:
- Hear why so many businesses struggle when implementing lean in office and administrative processes.
- Learn how lean tools can be applied to information-intensive processes in administrative and office environments.
- Experience lean applied in an office simulation.
- Take home ideas you can put to work for your office and administrative processes.
