Driving Lean Transformation Using Visual Management
High mix, low volume machine shop environment - 18 months into our lean journey
You need to apply lean comprehensively if you want it to be most effective. That's why DE-STA-CO Camco, a Dover Company, is working to sustain its visual management system throughout its facility. It consciously breaks apart "fire-fighting" and "administrative" tasks from transformational improvements and uses a visual management system to balance long- and short-term planning. And it does this while meeting the day-to-day needs of its customers.
On this tour you will see how DE-STA-CO Camco's visual management system fits into manufacturing through 1) value stream boards, 2) team boards and 3) day-by-hour boards. It's a system that has brought improved sales, margins and earnings, and during this tour you will see how this is done.
